The Sounds of Silence
In Highlands and Cashiers we so anticipate the first snowfall of the season that can happen as early as November and end as late as April. But we have what I call "fun snow!" Just enough to watch as the white flakes cover the tree branches and eventually the streets. I love the silence that transforms our little town into a winter wonderland and covers us like a warm blanket.
We finally get to use our fireplaces and get to don our down coats, hats, and gloves. We frequent the coffee shops and head out for the infamous milk and bread! The main roads in Highlands and Cashiers are cleared allowing trips to the stores if so inclined or you can simply snuggle in with a good book for some quiet time.
Winter events are planned and there is plenty to do if you come for a visit. From special dinners paired with wines, plays and concerts, or a day at the wonderful Old Edwards Inn and Spa for pure relaxation -I invite you to come and enjoy Highlands and Cashiers, NC!
Real estate continues to be good in our area since most of our inquiries come from internet sites. Potential buyers peruse at their leisure and contact us accordingly if something peeks their interest. If you are thinking of listing you no longer have to wait for the "season!" We are rapidly becoming a four seasons area to enjoy!
We hope to see you soon. If you have any questions regarding real estate or simply to chat contact us at Pat Allen Realty Group.
