Cashiers Christmas Parade
Held annually on the second Saturday in December, The Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to plan and produce the Cashiers Christmas Parade with local businesses, organizations and residents celebrating the holiday season. Chamber staff organizes parade theme, volunteers, participating lineup, awards and live broadcast of the event from the Cashiers Crossroads. Spirit of Our Community Awards
We are delighted to recognize the commitment and contribution of outstanding individuals of our mountain communities each November when nominations for Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Educator of the Year, Arts & Culture Advocate of the Year, Businessperson of the Year and the Evergreen Award are reviewed and selected by committee. Annual Meeting & Celebration
Our Annual Meeting & Celebration is held on the second Thursday of November from 5:30-8:00 p.m. This ticketed event with abundant hors d’oeuvres, beverage and live entertainment allows the community to come together to recognize retiring Chamber board members, new Chamber board appointees, Chamber board elected officers, and celebrate all community developments from the year while enjoying the upcoming holiday season. Winners of the Annual Spirit of Our Community Awards are announced during the evening.
Each Spring, the Chamber organizes the Annual Legislative Update to provide area citizens with an opportunity to hear from a select local government official representing Jackson County regarding government strategic priorities and how issues impact the Cashiers Area. This ticketed event is not a fundraiser and instead helps fill the Chamber’s mission as an advocate for business, information source for the community and conduit for building destination awareness and responsible growth.
Cashiers Area Job Fair
Held annually each Spring, the Cashiers Area Job Fair allows for representatives from area Accommodations, Communities & Clubs, Restaurants, Retailers, Trades & Services and more to connect with Job Seekers on the plateau. In addition to organizing and marketing the event, the Chamber continuously manages CashiersAreaJobs.com – the area’s online jobs board and year-round source for prime opportunities available in our mountain communities. Community Events & Forums
As part of our Community Outreach Initiative, the Chamber welcomes the opportunity to help connect regional representatives and officials with the people who live, work and play in our mountain communities. As an information source for the community, we participate and promote forums as needed, and actively manage and promote Cashiers411.com – the area’s comprehensive online calendar for residents and visitors to stay up-to-date on forums and all other events across the Plateau.
